AcuVue Oasys


SAY GOODBYE TO DRY... Period!  This lens has superior comfort AND greatly reduced dryness.  I and my patients have virtually no dryness issues with AcuVue Oasys.  Although a box of Oasys lenses costs a bit more than some lenses, they are very well worth it!

This lens is a much improved AcuVue Advance lens (which Dr. Quiring doesn't fit anymore) with more Hydraclear™ in its formula.  This is simply a great lens!

It's my hope that Vistakon continues to develop this lens, in this material (which includes HYDRACLEAR™ PLUS), with a front aspheric design (like the Biomedics 55 Aspheric lens) for increased visual acuity.  With its inherent UV protection it would be the perfect spherical lens.

It's also my hope that Vistakon develops a toric lens with this lens material for patients with astigmatism - with an aspheric anterior surface (like the ProClear Toric lens) for crisper vision.  With its inherent UV protection it would be the perfect toric lens.

My bottom line is I feel that if Vistakon would continue to develop its lens designs with this lens material they would have the perfect lenses available on the market today and in the near foreseeable future.  The only other thing they could to improve their spherical and toric lenses is to expand their parameters to include higher powers (and higher astigmatism corrections for patients requiring toric lenses) for our patients that are in desperate need for better contact lens options.
