Biomedics Toric


CooperVision's new Biomedics Toric disposable lens for correcting astigmatism is Dr Quiring's clear lens-of-choice for patients with significant astigmatism. Success was limited in correcting astigmatism (with superb vision and comfort) before this lens was released in the United States by OSI in 2004.

The Biomedics Toric is the benchmark soft lens for patients needing correction for astigmatism and desiring a 2-week wear cycle.  Biomedics Toric is noted as the most stable toric lens on the market which means crisp and clear vision all day long.  A new thinner patented edge also provides a higher level of lasting comfort compared to other toric lenses.  As a matter of fact, Biomedics Toric was preferred by 8 out of 10 patients over their current lens for overall satisfaction in a recent clinical study.

This lens has UV blocking characteristics as well;  99% in the UVB (280nm -315nm) range and 83% in the UVA (316 - 380nm) range.

This lens' patented ballast design with iso-thickness gives improved lens stability, reduced rotation with blinking, and stabilized visual acuity. It is a two week disposable lens approved for daily wear and extended wear.
