I'm a Newcomer to Cortez

I just arrived in Cortez this week and very happy and excited to be here! I have been trying to move to this area for over 10 years and I am finally here! I will begin providing professional eyecare services next week inside The Optical Shoppe, Inc. in Cortez. I pride myself in providing friendly, thorough and informative, professional family eyecare.

Now, a little bit about myself… I have 15 years experience and the past 12 years I have owned and operated two offices in Minneapolis, Minnesota. My practice had been strong in the fitting of contact lenses of all types, including bifocals, and taking on the challenges of the most difficult-to-fit patients. I have years of experience providing post-operative cataract and LASIK care. I enjoy caring for patients of all ages and I look forward to a long and close relationship with my patients in The Four Corners area. Growing up the son of a farmer in rural Montana, I’m glad to be out of the big city and back in the West because I am a down-to-earth guy that values my relationships with community members, neighbors and patients.

I plan to offer “The Eye Opener,” a column about vision-related topics every week. It’s my hope that you will find this column interesting and informative. Please feel free to make any suggestions about vision topics you may be interested in by calling the office or by .
I look forward to meeting you soon.  ~RQ
